  • The Javelinas dropped a 30-13 decision to No. 20/18 Midwestern State on the road on October 9 in a league matchup
  • The Hogs held a 13-7 lead at halftime, thanks to a 34-yard connection from Shane Johnson to Ryan Martinez and a blocked punt returned for a touchdown in the closing seconds of the second
  • Marco Noriega blocked the punt and made the initial return while Darian Mayberry finished the scoring run off
  • MSU outscored the Javelinas 23-0 in the second half, courtesy of three interceptions, three rushing touchdowns and a field goal
