Seeing Double  Â
• There have been two double-doubles on the year so far for the Javelinas

Jalynn Johnson recorded both of them with exactly 11 points and 10 rebounds on two separate occasions
• Her first double-double came against UAFS on November 23 and she matched the feat against UT Permian Basin on December 19
• TAMUK recorded six double-doubles as a team in 2018-19, with
Bri-Anna Soliz posting the most at four, most recently 15 points and 13 rebounds against Cameron on February 28

Michael Madrid
• Madrid's first career win at the helm of the program came on November 9 against Chadron State at 63-57, while his first Lone Star Conference win came on January 4 against Texas Woman's in a 57-53 comeback decision on the road
• Madrid was previously the associate head coach at UTEP following four years as head coach between San Jacinto North College and Paris Junior College
• Madrid got his start at Division II with Lubbock Christian as an assistant coach before joining Texas Woman's in the same capacity
LSC Outlook  Â
• The Javelinas were picked 13th in the 2019-20 LSC Preseason Poll
• Lubbock Christian, the 2018-19 NCAA Division II National Champions, were picked to win the LSC in the first year in the new-look conference
• Lexy Hightower from West Texas A&M was named Preseason Player of the Year
