• A contest against Eastern New Mexico will follow up on January 25 with tipoff at 2 p.m.
• TAMUK defeated West Texas A&M last year, ranked No. 2 at the time, in an 86-84 thriller at the SPEC before WT claimed revenge in the next two meetings
• The Javelinas missed out on their second road win of the year last week as they lost to St. Mary's on the road on Saturday, 64-62, as the Rattlers erased a 13-point fourth-quarter deficit
• The Lady Buffs are fresh off an upset of their own as they defeated No. 1/2 Lubbock Christian at home last week, 64-56, to cap off a 2-0 weekend
• Abby Spurgin, Delaney Nix and Braylyn Dollar all average more than 10 points per game as they have appeared in all 19 games
• Spurgin leads the group at 11.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, followed by Nix at 10.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per gameÂ
• Dollar rounds out the trio with 10.2 points and 5.3 rebounds per game
• ENMU also upset LCU last week, 69-68, but fell to Angelo State, 70-60
• The Greyhounds also have three players averaging more than 10 points per game, led by Alivia Lewis at 12.5 ppg
• Zamorye Cox and Natalie DeLonge round out the three at 12.2 and 10.0 points, respectively

• The Javelinas suffered an 0-2 week after falling to St. Edward's and St. Mary's on the road
• The Hilltoppers took the decision in the first game, 75-55, that saw a combined 80 points scored in the first half

• TAMUK had a 13-point lead in the fourth quarter over the Rattlers on Saturday but had the game tied in the final moments before StMU took the win in the extra frame, 64-62
• Upton led the Javelinas with a new career-high 16 points, while Mickens added 15 points and seven rebounds
• Soliz recorded her first double-digit scoring effort of the year at 11 points, while Johnson posted eight points and 10 rebounds, her third game with at least 10 rebounds on the year
Get Back on Defense  Â
• The Javelinas held the Patriots to 38 points in the win on January 9, the ninth time in program history TAMUK held opponents to fewer than 40 points
• It is the third time in the last four seasons the Javelinas held an opponent to fewer than 40 points after limiting Chadron to 37 in 2018-19 and 35 to East Central in 2016-17
• The fewest points allowed came in the inaugural season in 1977-78 with a 48-27 win over St. Mary's
• TAMUK held the Rattlers to two points in the first quarter on January 18, the lowest total allowed from an opponent all year
• In total, the Javelinas have held opponents to fewer than 10 points in a quarter on 11 separate occasions
Seeing Double  Â
• There have been two double-doubles on the year so far for the Javelinas

Jalynn Johnson recorded both of them with exactly 11 points and 10 rebounds on two separate occasions
• Her first double-double came against UAFS on November 23 and she matched the feat against UT Permian Basin on December 19
• TAMUK recorded six double-doubles as a team in 2018-19, with
Bri-Anna Soliz posting the most at four, most recently 15 points and 13 rebounds against Cameron on February 28
