LAWTON, Okla. (Baseball) – #RV/26 Texas A&M University-Kingsville (31-12, 16-4 LSC) goes for its third Lone Star Conference championship in four seasons when the Javelinas head to McCord Field to battle Cameron University (25-18, 6-10 LSC) this weekend. The Aggies are fighting for the final spot in the LSC Tournament, held at the league's regular season championship May 11-13.
Pablo Hernandez leads the club and is third in the conference with a .401 batting average. The sophomore's league-high 18 doubles are fourth most in a single season and the sophomore has won back-to-back LSC Hitter of the Week awards.
Christian Caudle is hitting .385 but his .535 on-base percentage (third in NCAA DII with 44 walks) top the conference.
Levi Zents is second on the team and fourth in the LSC with a .397 batting average.

Preston Plovanich leads the conference with four complete games. The left-hander is 6-2 in 2017. He follows
Seth Hubert in the rotation and precedes
Isaiah Lybarger and
Zach Wilson. Hubert is 7-2 with a 3.38 ERA, Lybarger is 5-2 with a 3.29 ERA and Wilson is 4-2 with a 2.98 ERA after celebrating senior day Sunday.
