GAMES 16-19: #25 Baseball Begins Nine Game Home Stand vs. Cameron

First pitch scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday

KINGSVILLE, Texas (Baseball) – No. 25 Texas A&M University-Kingsville (11-4) returns to Nolan Ryan Field for nine consecutive games, beginning Friday versus Cameron University (15-6) at 6 p.m. The four game set continues with a double dip Saturday at 1 and 4 p.m. and the series finale is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.

Texas A&M-Kingsville is 6-0 in Kingsville this season and got off to the best start in program history, beginning 2017 11-0.

ABOUT THE SERIES
Cameron is 15-6 despite splitting its series with Tarleton State University last week. Third in the conference in batting average at .332 with 159 runs, the team ERA is last in the Lone Star Conference at 5.96 to A&M-Kingsville's 3.49 (second lowest in LSC).
 
Micah Kaaukai leads the LSC with a .475 batting average to go with two home runs and 18 RBI and his .603 on-base percentage is second in the league behind Javelina backstop Christian Caudle, who ranks seventh in the nation with a .610 OBP (19 walks).
 
The Javelinas are 10-0 at Nolan Ryan Field dating back to last season. The last home loss came April 15, 2016 at the hands of No. 30 Angelo State University, who needed 10 innings to drop the Hogs.
 
NEXT UP
LSC play begins next week with the Hogs hosting Tarleton State University in a four-game set, beginning April 24 at 6 p.m.
