KINGSVILLE, Texas (Women's Basketball) – The Javelinas look determined to put an end to its two-game Lone Star Conference skid this week as Texas A&M University-Kingsville (9-9, 4-8 LSC) hosts Midwestern State University (5-13, 2-10 LSC) Feb. 2 at 5:15 p.m. in the Gil E. Steinke Physical Education Center-Kingsville Hampton Inn Court and Cameron University (8-10, 6-6 LSC) Feb. 4 at 4 p.m.
PROMOTIONS
Thursday's game is IBC Bank Pack the House Night in the SPEC and a #Goldout. All fans that wear gold will receive free pizza courtesy. The giveaways do not stop there as t-shirts, sunglasses, cozies, chairs and Aramark gift cards will be shelled out. At halftime, those that enter the drawing have the opportunity to bounce their way to fortune ($300) courtesy of D'yan Lopez of Farmer's Life Insurance.
The hottest DJ in Kingsville, DJ Daxter, will be making his return to the SPEC so be sure to mark your calendars.

SETTING THE SCENE
Texas A&M University-Kingsville (9-9, 4-8 LSC) continues Lone Star Conference action hosting Midwestern State University (5-13, 2-10 LSC) Thursday at 5:15 p.m. in the SPEC. TAMUK is coming off a 65-64 loss at Texas Woman's University while the Mustangs lost a home decision to Tarleton State 69-57. The Javs notched their first LSC victory over the Mustangs in the
Wade Scott era by a final of 60-47 on December 19th in Wichita Falls.
On Saturday, the Javelinas battle Cameron University (8-10, 6-6 LSC) at 4 p.m. A&M-Kingsville fell to CU 97-63 on December 17th in the season's first meeting in Lawton, Oklahoma. Five Aggies scored double digit points, led by Savanna James who scored 26 and pulled in 8 rebounds. The Aggies led 50-32 at the half while shooting just under 50% from the field.
Kaylin Roher paced the Hogs with 11 points and added 3 assists.
SERIES HISTORY
Texas A&M-Kingsville trails the all-time series versus Midwestern State 17-25 and against Cameron 17-22. TAMUK's last win over CU was on January 22nd, 2014 at the SPEC, a 60-48 win (lost six straight.)

ABOUT THE HOGS
- Kaylin Roher leads the Hogs with 12.4 points per game and 1.9 steals per contest (6th in the LSC)... the senior is making 2.6 three-pointers per game (tops in the LSC) and is shooting 41.7 percent from long distance (1st in conference).
- Kaylee Kana's 7.7 rebounds per contest are fourth most in the LSC... registered her first career double-double (14 points, 10 boards) versus A&M-Commerce Jan. 5... second double-double (14 points, 11 boards) came versus Angelo State Jan. 24.
- Lily Hospers stepped into the starting lineup for the first time on January 5th following injuries to Jaiton Walls and Angelica Wilson... the New Zealand native piled up 31 rebounds and eight blocks in first three starts... Hospers pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds in the overtime loss to Tarleton State Jan. 7.
- Tee Moore has reached double figures seven times... has scored season-high of 14 points in three different occasions (TWU 12/01/16, TSU 01/07/17, WNMU 01/21/17)... Moore has averaged no less than 7.6 points per contest at any point this season.
- Meesha Wade leads the team with 2.9 assists per game to go with her 8.7 points (2nd on the team) and 4.2 rebounds... Wade reached double figures in a season-high five straight games from December 19th through January 14th... season-high 18 point effort came against WNMU on January 21st.
KEY RESERVES
- Shaq Debose is the highest scoring contributor off the bench, averaging 4.5 points per game... has scored at least 8 points in five season contests.
- In 14 games played, Angelica Wilson scores just over four points per match... ranks 6th in the conference with 1.1 blocks per game... her five blocks against ENMU on January 19th was the highest total for a Javelina basketball player (Men's and Women's) in five years dating back to 2011.
- Madison Crawford averages just under two points per contest and logs 9 minutes a game... the transfer from Cal State Fullerton shot 5-7 from the field, and scored a season-high 13 points in 18 minutes played as part of victory over A&M-International (12/10/2016).
