GRANBURY, Texas (Golf) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville newcomer
Rachelle Nielson shot a 79 in round two to finish with a team best 164 at the 2016 Doc Housewright-Tarleton State University Golf Invitational Tuesday at the Harbor Lakes Golf Club.
Nielson began with an 85 on day one and followed with a season-low score Tuesday.
Analysa Coy followed with an 85 on day two and a 172 overall.
Bianca Sielero shot a 176.
Host Tarleton State earned the team crown with a team score 586. St. Mary's University's Allison Howarth won the individual title with a score of 142, one stroke ahead of TSU's Isabell Jimenez Perea. TexAnns Casey Wild shot a round two low 69 (three-under-par) Tuesday.
The 2016 Lone Star Conference Championship is scheduled for next week in Frisco, Texas.
