SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Baseball) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (4-3) resumes its 2016 season taking on St. Mary's University (8-5) Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. at Dickson Stadium before hosting the Rattlers at Nolan Ryan Field for a doubleheader Feb. 27 beginning at 1 p.m.

St. Mary's is coming off a 41-16 season and an appearance in the 2015 NCAA South Central Region Championship game against Angelo State University in Grand Junction, Colo. Thursday's game pits the Heartland Conference champions against the Lone Star Conference champions.

The Javelinas are coming off a three-game sweep over Texas A&M International University.

Ruben Almaguer leads the club in hitting with a .471 batting average, and the freshman is showing incredible plate discipline, with just one strikeout in 25 plate appearances. Leading the team with three triples and seven RBI is senior

Trey Taylor has eight strikeouts in 7.1 innings and has not allowed a run in five appearances.
Jako Kelm has 11 strikeouts and 11.0 innings and is limiting opponents to a .108 batting average.

Bryan Ramirez leads StMU with a .435 batting average and a .581 on-base percentage. Jack Kaiser is hitting .373 with four home runs and 22 RBI. Austin Eichman boasts a 1.59 ERA to lead St. Mary's.
