CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (Golf) – The first tournament of the spring came to a close Tuesday and Texas A&M University-Kingsville finished 11
th in the Islander Classic at the Corpus Christi Country Club.
A foggy morning, the second day began with a delay as weather in the Coastal Bend took a turn for the worse. However, the Islander Classic did go on and
Analysa Coy led the team with a score of 255.
Rachelle Neilson shot a 269 for the Hogs. No. 77 University of Texas-San Antonio won the two-day tournament, shooting an 884 with Lamar University following with a 905, tied with Houston Baptist University. Individually, UTSA's Julie Houston took home the trophy with a one-under par final score and Olivia Le Roux shot a 218.
The Javelinas will be attending the UTRGV Invitational March 7-9 in McAllen, Texas.
