KINGSVILLE, Texas (Volleyball) –Texas A&M University-Kingsville (23-8, 12-6 LSC) concludes the 2016 regular season at the Gil E. Steinke Physical Education Center this weekend with a match on Friday against Midwestern State University (12-19, 6-13 LSC) at 5:30 p.m., followed by a 1 p.m. match against Cameron University (3-25, 1-18 LSC) on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday will be senior day as we honor Ashley Bukowski, Alexandria Wells and Valarie Hill as they play their final games at home for the Blue and Gold.
Texas A&M-Kingsville is on a three-match winning streak highlighted by a four-set win against West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas. The club hits .224, and ranks inside of the top ten in the nation in total kills (1,510), total assists (1,418), service aces (198) and total blocks (265.0). They lead the Lone Star Conference in all of those categories as well as blocks per set at 2.3 and aces per set at 1.7.Â
The Javelinas are led by Krystal Faison and Lexi Wick who are both over 300 kills in 2016 with 369 kills and 319 kills, respectively. Faison is second in the conference with 48 aces, but Wick is right behind her with 43 and leads the team and conference with 125 total blocks and a .407 hitting percentage which also ranks third in Division II volleyball. Senior Bukowski enters the weekend with 273 kills and 29 aces, while Madison Brabham has been on fire as of late with her 208 kills and 88 blocks this season. Haley Hutchinson rounds out the top hitters with 176 kills and also plays big in the middle with 119 total blocks. Casey Klobedans has been the glue on the offensive side with her league leading 1,209 assists that also ranks fourth in the nation. Klobedans has also registered 78 kills, 46 blocks and 26 service aces this year. Krystal Puente is third in the LSC with 469 digs and Taliah Phipps sits inside the top ten of the league's athletes with 35 aces.
The Mustangs prepare for a big match against the Javelinas that can play a major role on if they will make an appearance in the LSC tournament. Entering their season finale, MSU is just one game ahead of Texas Woman's in the conference standings. TWU has two games this weekend and holds the tie-breaker between the two clubs. Arielle Edwards leads Midwestern State with 305 kills this season, followed by Meghan Bettis who has 278 kills and leads the club with 280 digs and 39 service aces. Sarah Garfield has 261 kills, 50 blocks and 27 aces in 2016, Kiley Beaver with 175 kills and 56 blocks and Addison Semer has 159 kills and a team-high of 75 total blocks.Â
The Hogs are 19-11 in the all-time series and 7-3 dating back to 2011. TAMUK is currently on a five-match winning streak against the Mustangs.
The Javs will close out the season against Cameron who enters the match on a five-match losing streak, including a recent loss to MSU in three sets. Jenna Gillean leads with a massive 371 kills and adds 41 blocks. Asia Keene has 145 kills this season, followed by Joseline Caraveo who has 135 kills and leads the team with 43 total blocks. Paige Dixon has 134 kills and 31 blocks and Kylee Quillin leads the Aggies with 351 digs and 30 aces.Â
Cameron holds a 23-12 record over Kingsville but was swept in the first head-to-head meeting in Aggie Gym earlier this season.Â
