LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Baseball) – The postseason accolades continued for the back-to-back Lone Star Conference champions as Texas A&M University-Kingsville's
Weston Silverberg was named a Jewish Sports Review College Baseball All-American after finishing the 2015 campaign 3-1 with a 2.23 ERA and five saves.
Silverberg punched out 52 batters in 36.1 innings and after taking over the closer duties when
Ryan Scott was moved to the starting rotation, the right-hander registered five saves. He limited opponents to a .158 batting average and he made 18 scoreless appearances.
The College Baseball All-America Team joined NCAA Division II, Division III and NAIA programs together and comprising the team were Oswego's Jordan Giller and Pomona Pitzer's Simon Rosenbaum (1B), David Schlosser of Bard and Bowdoin's Aaron Rosen (2B), Brandeis' shortstop Nick Falkson, New Hampshire's Zach Goldstein (3B), catcher Ben Ladner (Dakota Wesleyan), outfielders Jake Gordon of Lawrence, Jeremy Wolf of Trinity, Trent Zaks of Cal State Los Angeles and Lock Haven's Ryan Henritzy, designated hitters Jake Fishman (Union) and Macalester's Sam Berk and utility Jake Bruml (Pomona Pitzer).
Also being honored were pitchers Sam Elias (Wesleyan), Jake Fishman (Union), Robert Maislin (Whitman), Zack Speer (Trinity), Alex Weingarten (Cortland), Blake Glauben (Rhodes), Josh Glick (Nova Southeastern), Dan Kolodin (UC San Diego) and Silverberg.
