COMMERCE, Texas (Men's Basketball) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (7-14, 2-7 LSC) returns to the floor for two games in three days on Thursday, Feb. 12 to take on Texas A&M University-Commerce (16-6, 4-5 LSC) at 7:30 p.m. at the Field House.

Last Time OutTexas A&M-Kingsville trailed by double digits but came out to an 8-0 run in the second half to cut its deficit to one. However, the shorthanded Javelinas fell to West Texas A&M University (14-9, 4-5 LSC), 74-68.
Jamar Goodwin finished with 16 points on 4-of-9 shooting from three-point range and
Will West and
Jordan Jahr added 14 apiece.
The Lions nearly upset Midwestern State University on Feb. 7 before falling to the Mustangs, 85-83, in the first game of a three-game home stand for TAMUC. A&M-Commerce downed the Javelinas in their previous matchup, 87-71, behind Darrell Williams' 26 points and 13 rebounds and Ladon Carnegie's 24 points. Williams leads all Lions and is averaging a double-double with 17.1 points and 11.3 rebounds per contest, while Carnegie scores 16.4 points per game.
For the Hogs,
Troy Jones scored 18 points in the first meeting (Jan. 8) and leads the club with 13.6 points per game and 6.5 rebounds.
Jordan Jahr and
Jamar Goodwin are also averaging double figures at 10.3 and 10.1 points, respectively. Goodwin,
Duan Wright and
Will West combine for nearly 4.0 steals per game and Wright has swatted away 17 shots in 20 games this season.
Up NextFollowing Thursday's game, the Javelinas return to Kingsville Hampton Inn Court for their final two home games of the season. Texas A&M-Kingsville takes on nationally-ranked Tarleton State University on Christus Spohn Night, Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. Prior to the men's game, the women host the TexAnns at 6 p.m. in the Play4Kay game and all fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
