VICTORIA, Texas – Analysa Coy ended the Houston-Victoria Fall Classic fifth overall while the Texas A&M-Kingsville women's golf team finished third following low round of 308 and 957 (+93) over the 54 holes.
Coy shot 80 for the second straight round to finish at 14-over. She finished 13 back of Houston-Victoria's Brooke Brasseaux, who won in a one-hole playoff over Trinity's Hanna Niner. Coy was three shots better than Hannah Jiao of Texas A&M International.
Also recording a top 10 finish was
Jessica Sellers. The San Antonio, Texas native carded a 75 (+3) to move up eight spots to 10th.
Brittany Rodriguez was one of three players to shot the lowest round of the day, 73 (+1). The round was the lowest of her career by one shot. She wound up tied for 16th with Elizabeth McGillivray of Trinity at 25-over par, 241.
Rachelle Nielsen placed 23rd after a 54-hole total of 253. Rounding out the Javelinas golfers was
Bianca Silerio in 26th with a 264 after a third round score of 80.
Taking home the team title was Trinity with a 59-over, 923. St. Thomas finished second with a 954, three shots ahead of the Blue and Gold. Rounding out the standings was Texas A&M International (965) in fourth and then Houston-Victoria (983).
