KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville softball team will travel to face the Zias of Eastern New Mexico University in a 4-game series starting with a Friday doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. The series will close with a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at noon.
Kingsville comes into this meeting with a 12-40 overall and are 3-21 in conference. The Zias have a record of 13-38 overall and are 1-22 in conference. The Javelinas come into this contest after splitting with St. Edward's on Tuesday.
Valerie Ramirez comes in to the series leading the Javelinas with a .302 average, most hits with 49 hits, 28 RBI and four home runs.
Bailey Offill has the most runs of any Javelina at 32.
Eastern New Mexico players that could stump the Javelinas are Marleyna Pinon Audrey Velasquez, and Amanda Martinez. Pinon leads the Zias with a .358 average while Valesquez leads the team with 32 RBI. Martinez leads the team with 40 runs scored this season. On the mound, ENMU has Cailin Garmin who leads the pitching staff with a 5.95 ERA.
