KINGSVILLE, Texas (Football) – Texas A&M University-Kingsville (1-4, 0-3 LSC) and Eastern New Mexico University (3-2, 1-2 LSC) entered Saturday's game needing a Lone Star Conference victory. Unfortunately, the Greyhounds rushed for 290 yards and blocked two field goals to escape Javelina Stadium with their first ever win, 31-0.

ENMU is now 1-14 all-time at Javelina Stadium and 6-23 overall.

Trevor Moses finished with a game-high 14 tackles,
Mark Savere added 10 and freshman
Braedon Robinson recorded 2.5 tackles for a loss. Offensively,
Jordan Thomas hauled in seven passes for 98 yards.

The triple-option attack by the Greyhounds featured three players rush for over 50 yards and ENMU ran a total of 74 offensive plays.

The Javelinas were poised to find the end zone on the opening drive, successfully connecting on a fourth-down pass from
Sebastian Taylor to
Musa Mahmud to enter the ENMU red zone. A 32-yard field goal attempt was blocked by Kevin Reaves to give the Greyhounds its first possession of the game.

Eastern New Mexico controlled possession for the remainder of the first quarter, scoring after a 14-play, 80-yard drive and intercepting a pass as the TAMUK-44 yard line. Beginning the second frame inside the red zone, ENMU attempted a 31-yard field goal that clanked off the crossbar to give the Javelinas an opportunity to tie the contest. However, Reaves blocked a second field goal attempt and the Greyhounds entered the second half with a 21-0 advantage.

ENMU continued to manage the clock in the second half to earn a 31-0 victory over Texas A&M-Kingsville.

Darius Lively forced a fumble early in the third quarter that was recovered by Savere.

E'lon Spight and D'Maujeric Tucker led the offense with 78 yards and 67 yards rushing, respectively. Quarterback Jeremy Buurma finished 6-of-11 with one touchdown throwing and rushed for 61 yards and one touchdown.
