KINGSVILLE, Texas – With fall semester exams complete, the Texas A&M-Kingsville men's basketball team travels to Kerrville Saturday for a 3 p.m. contest against Schreiner.
Kingsville enters the contest with a 3-7 overall record, while Schreiner is 2-5.
The Javelinas are coming off a 52-51 loss to St. Mary's last Saturday. The Hoggies had a pair of chances to win the game in the final eight seconds but could not come with the decisive basket.
Rashad Basey, who leads the Javelinas and is second in the Lone Star Conference in scoring with 19.3 points, had 16 points in the contest.
Adonis Bailey added 10 points.
Schreiner is led by the duo of AJ Myres and Steven Guerrero. Myres is averaging 20.7 points a contest. Guerrero is scoring 18.1 points a game and leads the Mountaineers with 5.6 rebounds an outing.
