SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – The Texas A&M-Kingsville baseball team traveled to #1 St. Mary’s and lost 10-0 on Tuesday night at Nelson Wolff Stadium.

The Rattlers (36-7) scored in five of seven innings and Derek Moczygemba tossed a four-hit shutout for the home team. They had five players score two runs and three players had two hits. Brandon Bates led the offense with two hits, two runs, two RBI’s, a double and a triple. Moczygemba walked five batters and struck out nine.

Denver Diefenbach (Victoria/St. Joseph’s HS) took the loss for the Javelinas (24-12). He allowed four hits, three earned runs and three walks in 3.1 innings of work.

The Hogs are back in action on Friday at 6 p.m. against Lone Star Conference rival Eastern New Mexico.
