In the opening game, the Buffalos cracked open a close game thanks to the long ball. Jordan Easom hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning, Kendall Boone led off the seventh inning with a solo home run and Garrett Campfield followed with a two-run homer in the inning.
Irving Camacho picked up his fifth win of the year for the Buffs. He scattered nine hits in 5.0 innings and allowed just one earned run. Five players had two hits for the team and Brad Elders scored three times and hit a double.

Jerry Rodriguez (Canovanas, P.R./North Lake) capped off a 4-for-4 performance with a walk-off single to end the game. He reached base six times during the game via hit or walk, scored twice and drove in two runs.
