Ruiz, for the women's tennis program, was nigh untouchable last week as the Javelinas split their Rocky Mountain road trip with a hard-fought 4-3 loss to MSU Denver and a 7-0 sweep of CSU-Pueblo.
 
Ruiz teamed up with junior Laura Montalvo (Cochabamba, Bolivia) in the doubles section and defeated the Roadrunners' Gala Castello and Kayla Myburgh at 6-4 to open the trip and followed up with a 6-1 win over the Thunderwolves' Sarah Megilligan and Roma Cordova.
 
In singles play, Ruiz never dropped a set between the third and fourth flights as she first went 6-1, 6-0 over Helena Steenberg from MSUD and added a 6-1, 6-2 win over Megilligan to go 4-0 on the weekend.
