Wallace was recently named First Team All-LSC for winning the heptathlon competition at the indoor championships in Lubbock, Texas. He compiled 2784 points on day one, 809 of which came from the 60m dash as he clocked a time of 7.21, and took the title with 4889 points ahead of Anglo State’s Marius Laib with 4671.

Wallace was also the high-point scorer for the Javelinas at the meet as he finished with another four in the pole vault with a fifth-place finish at 4.77m (15-7.75). His final output in the heptathlon was enough for an NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark, while his total of 5104 at the Bearcat Open on February 6-7 slotted him 12th on the Division II Descending Order List.
