Barnes, for the football team, rushed for a career-high 130 yards on 13 carries in the loss to Midwestern State on Saturday. He broke off a 40-yard dash in the third quarter, the second longest run by a Javelina running back in 2019, and added a touchdown near the start of the fourth.
On the year, Barnes has 240 yards on 45 attempts and four touchdowns, all second on the team. He posted two touchdowns and 74 yards on 12 carries in the win over Sul Ross State on September 14 and added his third touchdown of the year in the second quarter against Eastern New Mexico on September 28.
