For the Blue and Gold softball team, Smith went the distance in all three of her starts in the final week of the regular season as she picked up a win in all three outings while compiling a miniscule 0.69 ERA in the process.

In her first appearance out of the bullpen, Smith recorded the last four outs on the front end of the doubleheader against St. Mary’s (TX) for a save in a 6-2 win and followed up with a start in the back end and allowed only one run over seven frames for a 2-1 TAMUK triumph.

The San Antonio native added a 2-1, complete-game win with one unearned run allowed in game one against UT Permian Basin to start the final LSC series and added her 16th win the next day with five innings of one-run ball in the decision over UTPB that sealed the 2019 LSC Championship for the Javelinas.
