Chernosky claimed her first LSC Hitter of the Week award for TAMUK as she headlined a lineup that batted .349 against WT. She collected six hits in eight at bats as the Javelinas took the series from the Lady Buffs on the road.

In the series’ opener on Friday, the Sugar Land, Texas, native smashed her first home run of the year and followed up with five hits in the doubleheader sweep on Saturday. Her RBI single in the fourth inning on the frontend of the doubleheader sparked a five-run rally that led the Blue and Gold to a 10-6 victory.

Over the weekend, she added a pair of RBI and four runs in the series against WT along with one walk.
