For the Hogs, Detmer Jr. snuck into the end zone for his first score at the 11:37 mark of the second quarter in the contest against then-No. 9 Tarleton on Saturday, October 20. His first score tied the contest at seven apiece before he found junior Tyler Wilson (Bay City, Texas) for 14 yards later in the same quarter to even the count yet again at 14-14.
The Somerset, Texas, native connected with redshirt-junior Aaron Dilworth (Corpus Christi, Texas) late in the third for his 12th touchdown of the year through the air. Detmer Jr. has thrown for 1,535 yards so far in 2018 and has rushed for two additional scores on the ground.
