Kingsville, Texas – Following the Javelina Classic this weekend, Cambelle Brammer is named Lone Star Conference Freshman of the Week
 
Joining the Javelinas this season as a true freshman Cambelle Brammer is a freshman from Fruita, Colorado and is now finding her footing here in Kingsville. She showed flashes of potential in the first tournament of the season putting up 13 kills on .571 percentage and another with 10 kills. When it was time for the Javelinas to come home she did everything possible to amaze the hometown faithful.
 
She may have started out slower with 7 kills against Edinboro, but by the end of the weekend she was showing up and showing out. She put together three matches with 16 kills against Findlay, 17 kills against St. Mary's, but in a match taking on the Montana St. Billings Yellow Jackets she became unleashed going for 25 kills on a .488 percentage. This performance tying sixth in program history and the first game of such since 2018.
 
She also added 13 digs, 7 total blocks and 3 assist to her tallies. Brammer looks to build off this match as She and the Javelinas travel to Oklahoma City to take on Midwestern St. and Oklahoma Christian this weekend.
