San Antonio - The first competition of the first outdoor meet of the season for the Texas A&M-Kingsville men's and women's track and field teams saw multiple top ten finishes, and some new top-10 finishes in the history books.

Starting the party for the Javelinas was Kenzie Kurdys jumping a new personal best, 3.80m, making it the new 4th highest jump in school history. Karinal Alvarez would keep the momentum in the shot put event. She threw for a distance of 13.71m, becoming the new 10th furthest throw in school history. In the discus event, Yosiris Cordoba finished in 3rd place with a throw of 51.58m, not passing her personal best but being 2nd in school history.

For the men's squad, Malachi Barendilla finished fourth in the 100m dash with a new personal best, 10.24, and became sixth in school history. Not too far behind was Ausencio Martinez in 7th place with a time of 10.39, yet another top-10 finish on the day.

Gage Upton would finish first in the pole vault, recording a height of 5.25m, a personal best, and 4th highest jump in school history. Django Segovia and Blake Gordon each tied for eighth, jumping a height of 4.80m. Earning his way into the top-10 records list was true-freshman Leon Doran running the ninth fastest 1500m run, clocking in a time of 3:58.48.

Some other top-10 finishes were Nanhi Pannu finishing third in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:05.53. Kyra Nunez (5.62m) finished 9th in the long jump. Ausencia Martinez (21.37) also finished 10th in the 200m dash. Kristian Green (1:54.33) and Aiden Summers (1:55.31) each finished top-10 in the 800m run, and Jayden McCoy had a 4th place finish in the long jump event with a distance of 7.37m.
