Kingsville – Javelina Athletics is proud to announce The City of Kingsville as the presenting sponsor of The Javelina Beach Classic, a two-day beach volleyball tournament scheduled for February 20-21 at Javelina Beach Volleyball Courts.

"Thank you to the City of Kingsville for being a proud partner and continued support of the Texas A&M Kingsville Beach Volleyball Team, growing the sport of beach volleyball, and for making the Javelina Beach Classic beach tournament possible," Head Coach Gary Payne said. 

The City of Kingsville's sponsorship enables the tournament to bring premier collegiate beach volleyball to Javelina nation, hosting programs from across the region for a weekend of elite competition. The four-team tournament will feature 10 matches over two days, with Texas A&M University-Kingsville hosting Sam Houston State University, McNeese State University, University of Louisiana at Monroe, and University of Texas at El Paso.

"The City of Kingsville's sponsorship of the Javelina Beach Classic reflects our commitment to supporting the university and our student athletes," said Connie Womack, Director of Tourism.  "We are excited to welcome some great teams and their fans to our community."

The tournament format will see all four teams compete in round-robin play, ensuring fans have the opportunity to watch high-level beach volleyball throughout both days of competition.

TOURNAMENT DETAILS

Admission is free and open to the public. The first 200 fans on Friday will receive free reusable water bottles, and the first 150 fans on Saturday will receive free inflatable beach volleyballs. All matches will take place at the Javelina Beach Volleyball Courts in Kingsville, Texas.

• 10:00 AM – Louisiana Monroe vs Texas-El Paso 

• 12:00 PM – McNeese State vs Texas A&M-Kingsville 

• 2:00 PM – Texas-El Paso vs Sam Houston State 

• 4:00 PM – Louisiana Monroe vs Texas A&M-Kingsville

Saturday, February 21 (First 150 fans free inflatable beach volleyball)

• 8:00 AM – McNeese State vs Texas-El Paso

• 10:00 AM – Texas-El Paso vs Texas A&M-Kingsville

• 12:00 PM – Louisiana Monroe vs McNeese State

• 2:00 PM – Louisiana Monroe vs Sam Houston State

• 4:00 PM – Sam Houston State vs Texas A&M-Kingsville
