Javelinas host Eastern New Mexico on Senior Night

Kingsville - Texas A&M-Kingsville continues its hunt against Eastern New Mexico for that all-important tenth conference win to lock themselves a spot in the Lone Star Conference tournament Saturday from the Steinke Physical Education Center.

The Javelinas (12-13, 9-8 LSC) currently sit in the No. 8 spot in the LSC standing with just three games to go. They maintain a three-game advantage over Angelo State and Midwestern State, however UT-Tyler gained ground on the Hogs with a win on Thursday. A massive win against the top team in the conference in the Greyhounds (22-3, 15-2 LSC) would guarantee the Javelinas a spot in Frisco, Texas, at the LSC championship tournament.

Saturday's contest will also be senior night for the Javelinas, as Texas A&M-Kingsville celebrates five seniors from the 2025-2026 roster in Jamir Turner, KC Udolisa, Daniel Sanchez, Nate Garcia and Allen Singleton.

Eastern New Mexico is currently riding a 10-game win streak and are a perfect 12-0 away from Portales. Saturday's contest will be the second straight opponent that the Javelinas have faced that sit at the top of the conference in terms of offensive production, as ENMU is second in the LSC scoring 83.2 points per game.

The Javelinas will have opportunities from deep however, as Eastern New Mexico allows the highest three-point percentage in the conference at 38.1 percent. TJ Ford Jr. and Singleton could pose as massive threats from outside the arc for the Javelinas, as the guard duo leads the team in three-point percentage and made three's per game.

Sophomore forward David Oriaku will also need to have a big impact on the game both offensively and defensively for the Hogs to get the win. Oriaku has had two seven-point outings over the previous four games while averaging right at one block per game, good for ninth in the conference.

Tip-off for Saturday's Senior Day contest is set for 3:00 pm from the SPEC. Fans of the Javelinas can watch the game on FloCollege or follow the action at JavelinaMBB on X.
