Javelinas host No.5 Angelo St. & UTPB, Senior Day 11/7

Kingsville, TX – The Javelinas host No.5 Angelo St. and UT-Permian Basin for last home stand of the regular season

Texas A&M – Kingsville will look to finish their season on a high as they will welcome in top-5 Angelo St. for military appreciation night, and host UTPB for Senior night this weekend. The Javelinas currently sit in fifth place for the Lone Star Conference. They will have the opportunity to move up into the 4 spot with a couple wins and St. Edwards dropping a couple games. Texas A&M – Kingsville also has the possibility to drop down as far as the seven seed. With the final push upon them Cambelle Brammer sits in sixth for conference kills and Alayna Guerrero sits in first for total assists and second for assists per set.

Angelo St.
The Rambelles reside in the No.5 spot nationally in the AVCA as of Oct.26, coming with an impressive 25-1 overall record and still undefeated in conference play at 15-0. They are being led by a two headed front of Julia Hopkins with 285 kills and Madi Parrish with 269 kills. Angelo St. has not dropped a set since Oct. 3rd against UT-Tyler, they are on a streak a 25 straight sets won. This will be by far the hardest matchup the Javelinas have face this season. As for Angelo St. they have already clinched Home-Court advantage for the LSC tournament.

UT-Permian Basin
The Falcons are currently sitting 15th in the Lone Star Conference, with a 8-13 overall record and 3-12 in Lone Star Play. UTPB will be welcomed into the SPEC on senior night as the final game of the regular season. As with the rest of LSC their record is not indicative of the challenge they will pose to the Hogs. They have currently five hitters above 100 kills on the year with Kaitlyn Salgado at the top with 230. Kierra Freeman and Emma Gonzalez share the load as setter collecting 391 assists and 292 assists, respectively. As with most matchups the Javelinas have hosted the Falcons will be coming from a match against TAMIU the day before.

The Javelinas will take on the Rambelles at 6:00 on Friday, Nov. 6th, then on Saturday the 7th the Javelinas and Falcons will finish off the season. Kamryn Briggs and Monique Gonzalez will honored at the game as this year's seniors for the the Javelinas.
