Javelinas head to Tyler and Richardson for Final Road Trip

Kingsville, TX – The Javelinas travel to Tyler and Richardson for final road trip of season

Texas A&M – Kingsville will be on the road one more time before the post season starts as they go to Tyler and Richardson this weekend. The Javelinas are looking to clinch a spot in the Lone Star Conference Championship tournament. Texas A&M -Kingsville is coming into this weekend after winning in Laredo against TAMIU, 3-1. In this match the Hogs started to have that fire they played with at the beginning of LSC play with Cambelle Brammer collecting 21 kills, Natalee Rush had 13 kill, Alayna Guerrero assisted on 47 of the kills and as a team they had 14 total blocks. This weekend pits the current 4th place Javelinas against the 3rd place Patriots and 6th place Comets.

UT-Tyler
The Patriots of Tyler are hosting the Javelinas in the midst of a four-match winning streak and one of the hottest teams in LSC. As in one of those matches against St. Mary's the team hit on .456 clip. They are led by Maya Jones, a Junior Right Side, and Melanie Merrill in kills. Jones has put up 176 on the year, with Merrill close behind at 166. Setter Riley Clinton sits at tenth in the conference with 475 assists on the year. UT-Tyler are currently 1 of 3 LSC teams with 10 conference wins on the year as the Javelinas sit at 9 and try to join those at double digits.

UT-Dallas
The Comets have won their last two matches against Sul Ross and Western New Mexico, which is a part of a streak that they won 5 of 6. The Comets will matchup with Texas A&M International on the 30th before a Halloween duel with the Hogs. On the offensive side they are led by Jane Burkhardt with 343 kills on the season, Oct. 20 AVCA National Player of the week, and Scarlette Young with 442 assists as well as 198 kills. They have standout Freshman Avery Gray on the defensive side, she is the only other athlete to win LSC's freshman of the week, besides A&M-Kingsville's own Cambelle Brammer. Javelinas are in for a tough work week as they look to keep their postseason aspirations alive.

The Javelinas will take on the Patriots at 6:00 on Friday, Oct. 30th, then on Saturday the 31st the Javelinas and Comets will meet. Fans of the Javelinas can tune in on FloSports and by following the Javelinas on X and Instagram @Javelina_VB
