RICHARDSON, Texas - The Lone Star Conference announced its list of All-Conference honors for the 2024 Outdoor track & field season, and a bevy of Javelinas have made the list.

Headlining the honors for the Javelinas are five athletes named First Team All-LSC. For the men, Paxton Hair, Markim Felix, and Thomas Nieto receive the honor, while Katryna Hernandez and Devon Williams receive the honor for the women. 

Nieto and Felix placed first place in their respective events - pole vault for Nieto and javelin throw for Felix - while Hair received 21 total points across multiple events over the LSC Championships. Hair placed second in both the discus and shot put, as well as securing a fourth-place finish in the hammer throw.

Hernandez and Williams also both secured first-place finishes in their events, with Hernandez winning the shot put while Williams won the discus. Williams also recorded a third-place finish in the shot put.

Seven Javelina men received Second Team All-LSC nods for their performances at the conference championships. Gabriel Field, Roel De Leon, Ke'Andre Jones, Reid Barba, Sterling Riles, Taylor Chaney, and Tony Benitez were the recipients of the honor. 

Rounding out the recognitions for the Javelinas were five selections to the Third Team All-LSC. The men receiving the honor are Eric Edison and Kobi Valchar. For the women, Kaylea Demetrius, Maya Espinosa, and Madison Ramos were the recipients. 

The all-conference first team consists of event winners, including all members of the winning relay teams and athletes scoring 14 or more points at the LSC Championships. The all-conference second team consists of all members of the second-place relay teams and athletes scoring 8-13.9 points. The all-conference third team consists of all members of the third-place relay teams and athletes scoring 6-7.9 points.

The five first-team winners will be back in action one more time as they compete in the NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships in Emporia, Kansas from Thursday, May 23-25.
