TAVARES, Florida — The Texas A&M-Kingsville Beach Volleyball
Team travels
to the AVCA Small College Beach Volleyball Championships as the no. 5 seed where they will begin pool play Friday.
All teams have been divided into four pools of four teams based on seasonal results, and all teams will have two pool play matches on Friday and one on Saturday. Saturday, teams will also play one challenge round match to determine their championship Sunday bracket placement. Championship Sunday will see four brackets available to all teams, the Copper Bracket, Bronze Bracket, Silver Bracket, and Gold Bracket in which the winner will be named the Division II champion.
TAMUK placed in pool D will begin their pool play Friday facing off against no. 13 seeded Wayne State College first at 11:15 AM, then the no. 12 seed Erskine at 3:35 PM. They will finish up pool play Saturday against no. 4 seed Saint Leo then will go into the challenge round at either 2:30 PM or 3:35 PM. Championship Sunday will have two possible matches where we will see the Javelinas based on their performance Friday and Saturday.
