KINGSVILLE, Texas – On Friday, Texas A&M-Kingsville Women's Basketball coach Michael Madrid announced a new addition to the squad in the form of Logan Borchardt.
 
"Logan is a dynamic guard with an incredible feel for the game " said Head Coach Michael Madrid. "Her ability to see the floor and play with tremendous pace will be fun to watch. She has a tremendous basketball IQ and more importantly makes everyone around her better. Logan had a very successful career at Bishop High School helping them make deep playoff runs and learned from one of the best around in Coach Sherry Luna. We are excited to see her growth in the years to come and thankful that she chose to be a Javelina!"
 
A native of Bishop, Texas, Borchardt brings her talents right up the road to TAMUK after she was awarded to the Texas High School Basketball Coaches Association and Texas Girls Coaches Association all state teams after an impressive 2024 campaign, which saw her lead her team to an undefeated district title and a UIL Regional Playoff appearance.
 
 This is Borchardt's fourth consecutive time receiving TABC All-State honors as she leaves Bishop High School with over 1,000 points scored. She also will be leaving with a 4.0 GPA excelling not only on the court but in the classroom as well.
 
Borchardt is the first signee so far for TAMUK this offseason and will play a pivotal role in the upcoming season.
