KINGSVILLE, Texas — The Texas A&M-Kingsville Beach Volleyball Team traveled out to Salt Lake City where they would face off against Concordia Irvine and Utah falling in both matchups 4-1 and 5-0.
Starting out the day TAMUK faced off against Concordia Irvine where they would drop the match 1-4.
Starting out with the No. 2 pair of
Adrienne VanBrunt and
Grace Gettys who finished first dropping set one 13-21 and set two 14-21.
The No. 4 flight saw
Liana Huesca and
Taylor McCarthy put up the only victory for the Javelinas on the day sweeping their court in two sets 21-12 & 21-19.
Court No. 5 finished next seeing
Meghan Stiefer and
Rylie Anderson drop set one 23-25 and set two 19-21.
Court No. 3 was the last court to finish on the match and saw the tandem of
Olivia Zeigler and
Madelyn Wallace fall 14-21 in set one and 16-21 in set two.
Court No. 1 saw the combination of
Kalani Vasquez and
Rylan Pollard fall 17-21 then 4-21 which would be the end of match one for the Javelinas as they would drop to Concordia Irvine 4-1.
The second matchup of the day saw the Javelinas face off against the Utah Utes.
Court No. 2 would be the first to finish again seeing
VanBrunt and
Gettys fall 19-21 and 13-21.
Next, court No. 4 saw
Huesca and
McCarthy fall to the Utes 17-21 in both sets.
Court No. 5 would see
Stiefer and
Anderson also have a copy and paste score from set one and two falling 14-21 in both.
The tandem of
Vasquez and
Pollard would finish next dropping set one 12-21 and set two 11-21.
For the last court finished on the day flight no.3 with
Zeigler and
Wallace would finish 15-21 and 19-21.
