KINGSVILLE, Texas- The Texas A&M-Kingsville Women's Basketball Team would host the Texas Woman's Pioneers on senior night, honoring
Mia Rivers,
Georgia Ohiaeri,
Jayde Tschritter, and
Janessa Payne where they would play a hard-fought game ultimately coming up short 59-62.
"Anytime you play a really quality team, obviously the best team in the conference at this point in time you have to be on point so to speak." said coach
Michael Madrid. " I thought the third quarter really changed the momentum in a lot of ways. We came out pretty flat going 2 for 11 from the field, gave up a bunch of stuff defensively that we hadn't given up in the first half, and at the end of the day that quarter kind of is the difference in the game. But continue to be proud of our team, proud of our effort, we continue to play hard, we continue to defend but we just have to get more disciplined in the things that we do. Hopefully we can learn from this, move forward and continue to grow".
