KINGSVILLE, Texas- The Texas A&M-Kingsville Women's Basketball Team returned home to the Steinke Physical Education Center and faced off against Western New Mexico for Pack the House Night Thursday where they fell to the Mustangs in a barnburner 55-57.
"I thought it was a tough hard game." said coach
Michael Madrid. "Really thankful for all the people that came to watch us play, obviously pack the house is a big event for us having students back on campus so, thankful for them and thankful for them and what they did coming in. A ton of credit to Western New Mexico I thought they played extremely hard. Looking at the stats I thought they really out hustled us in a lot of areas, 15 offensive rebounds, it seemed like they got every 50/50 ball, and we were kind of a step behind. Hopefully we can learn from this we've got to get better on the offensive end we've got to be more efficient, we're just super inefficient right now offensively and hesitant and hopefully we can figure that out moving forward".
Junior
