TAMUK looks to bounce back in final road matchup of week vs Eagles

KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville women's basketball team prepares for the Oklahoma Christian Eagles this time out as they continue on their road trip set to face off Saturday January 13th at 3:00 P.M.

The Javelinas (6-9, 2-6 LSC) are heading into Saturday's matchup after dropping their last matchup to the UAFS Lions 54-55. The Javelinas look to bounce back as a last-minute bucket is what ultimately flipped the game on its head. The Javelinas led their opponent in three-point shooting (29.2% - 22.2%), rebounds (40-34) and blocks (2-1), but fell short in FG% (38.9% - 37.0%) and FT% (90.0% - 38.9%).

Oklahoma Christian (2-10, 1-7 LSC) comes into Saturday on a six-game skid, their most recent matchup against the #21 TAMIU Dustdevils dropping that one 78-85.

The Javelinas and Eagles have met a total of 5 times dating back to the 2017-18 season. The Eagles hold the overall matchup with a 3-2 all-time record.
