KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville volleyball team plans to enjoy the last home match in a five-match stretch, as Family Weekend and Tot Clinic Day comes to the Steinke Physical Education Center.
The Javelinas serving up a post-match clinic in the SPEC for children 11 and under after facing the Western New Mexico Mustangs Saturday at 2 P.M.
The Javelinas (9-3, 1-0 LSC) are looking to stay hot, entering Saturday after a three sets to none victory over the Texas A&M International Dustdevils, starting out conference play with a sweep.

Ayanna Jackson a big factor in the Javelina win the last time out, with a hitting percentage of .278, and 3 blocks, comes into the weekend a part of the Lone Star Conference top 10 in those categories with a .337 hitting percentage and 50 total blocks (1.14 Avg/s).
The Javelinas are continuing to excel as a team overall, currently sitting in the top five of the LSC in points (754 total 16.76 Avg/s), hitting percentage (.244), assists (547 total 12.16 Avg/s) and blocks (101 total 2.24 Avg/s).
Western New Mexico (4-8, 0-1 LSC) will continue their road trip and will try to get back on track, as the last time out a visit to San Angelo led to a 3-0 sweep by the Angelo State Rambelles. The Mustangs will make a quick stop in Laredo taking on the Texas A&M International Dustdevils Friday at 5 p.m. before coming to the SPEC to take on the Javelinas Saturday at 2:00 P.M. This being the 15
th and final road match in a row before playing on their home court.
The Mustangs come into Kingsville ranked near the bottom in most categories as a team for all except digs where they crack the top 10 with 701 (15.93 Avg/s).
However, the Mustangs have had some players step up to the challenge leading to some impressive individual feats. With Jazmyne Walker cracking the LSC top 10 in kills with 126 total (3.00 Avg/s), and Leticia Correa top 5 in assists in the LSC with 341 (8.12 Avg/s).
The Javelinas come in to Saturday's match 8-1 all-time verses the Mustangs, the sole loss coming in tournament play during the 2008 season.
