Madrid to speak at TGCA Summer Clinic

Head Javelina women’s basketball coach to present two lectures at summer clinic

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas A&M-Kingsville's head women's basketball coach Michael Madrid has been announced as a lecturer at the 2023 Texas Girls Coaches Association Summer Clinic on Tuesday, July 11 in Arlington, Texas. 

Coach Madrid will be present two lectures on the day in the Sheraton Champions Ballroom, first on offensive spacing from 1:30-2:30 p.m., and then from 2:45-3:45 p.m. on transition offense and half-court sets. 

The TGCA honors athletes and coaches in all sports sanctioned by the UIL. The annual Summer Clinic sponsored by the TGCA is well-known throughout the United States and attracts nationally recognized coaches and speakers across various sports. 

The Texas Girls Coaches Association is one of the largest associations of coaches, and the largest association for coaches of girls' athletics in the United States. Established in 1953, with a membership of less than 100, it has grown to over 7,000 members today and includes coaches and administrators at all education levels.
