DBU opened the game shooting very well from field going on multiple runs throughout the first half. Fueling the offense was Cameron Khan who posted 13 points in the half.

After the majority of the second half saw the Patriot lead fluctuate around two to six points the Javelina offense ran cold. DBU kept TAMUK scoreless from the field for over 7 minutes late in the half expanding its lead to 13 at 68-55 with 4:38 remaining.
