KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville volleyball team heads to the Lone Star capital where they will match up against the St. Edwards Hilltoppers.
The Javelinas (14-6, 6-2 LSC) are going into Wednesday's match on a roll as they currently hold a four-game win streak after getting the best of the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds last time out. The Blue and Gold are now trying to keep the streak and recent momentum alive as they head out to Austin, Texas for their weekday matchup.
The Javelinas hit a .291 and had three players reach double digit kills in New Mexico. Senior outside hitter
Jackie Alanis one of those players as she had 17 kills with a .455 hitting percentage, two block assists and a service ace to her line. Junior middle blocker
Ayanna Jackson also had 17 kills with a .382 hitting percentage and three block assists.
Rylan Pollard rounding out the three as she had 14 kills with a .333 hitting percentage.
St. Edwards (7-15, 3-7 LSC) comes into Wednesday after their second straight three sets to none loss at the hands of the UTPB Falcons they hit .092 as a team and had 7 blocks on the night.
The Javelinas and Hilltoppers have met 47 total times, where the Javs hold a 25-22 all-time record. The last time these squads met in 2022 the Javelinas won three sets to none at the Steikne Physical Education Center. The last time the Javelinas played St. Edwards on the road they left with a three sets to one win.
