KINGSVILLE, Texas - Texas A&M-Kingsville's men's basketball team wraps up its four-game homestand this week with a pair of Lone Star Conference matchups against Dallas Baptist on Thursday (Jan. 12) at 7:30 p.m. and UT Tyler on Saturday (Jan. 14) at 3 p.m. inside the Steinke Physical Education Center.
Thursday's game is Faith Night and features free entry to the public while Saturday is Javelina Military and First Responder Appreciation Day!

The Javelinas (11-5, 5-3 LSC) are red hot, riding a six-game win streak heading into this week's games including two solid LSC wins at home last week over Arkansas Fort Smith and Oklahoma Christian.
Against the Lions, suffocated the Lions (7-7, 3-5 LSC) throughout the game, limiting UAFS to just 19-42 shooting from the field, including 1-10 from beyond the arc in the 71-56 victory.
UAFS Payton Brown entered the game leading the LSC in points per game this season but was kept in check only scoring six total points.
Junior guard Dillon Gooding recorded a game-high 17 points thanks in large part to a perfect performance from the line going 9-for-9.
The Javs followed that performance up with another strong one with an 81-72 victory over OC as Isaiah Payne posted a team-high 18 points and the LSC leading TAMUK defense forced 16 Eagle turnovers.
SCOUTING DBU
The DBU Patriots (10-6, 5-3 LSC) come to Kingsville after going 1-1 last week at home with a win over St. Mary's and 74-71 loss to St. Edward's.
The Patriots hold the highest three-point percentage in the LSC with a mark of 36.4 percent on the season, while also posting the second-best assist/turnover ratio of 1.27.
Defensively, DBU is led by Ta'Jay Dunlap who leads the conference in steals with 32 on the season with an average of 2.13 steals per game. Dunlap also is ninth in the LSC in assists per game with 3.1 a game.
The Javelinas have won the last three meetings between the two teams with the last meeting coming in February of last season where the Javs won in Kingsville, 74-70.
SCOUTING UT TYLER
UT Tyler (8-4, 4-4 LSC) enter the SPEC after two successful home games against St. Edward's and St. Mary's. The Patriots outlasted the Rattlers in defensive battle last Saturday 52-50 as senior Terrell Wilson hit a buzzer beater for the win.
UT Tyler's Rashun Williams leads the Patriots offensively with the third-highest points per game mark in the LSC averaging 17.2 entering this week.
The Patriots also lead the conference in three-point percentage defense holding teams to just 28.4 percent from beyond the arc and lead the LSC in rebounds per game with 38.5.
This will be the Patriots and Javelinas first meeting of the season, the last meeting saw UT Tyler score a narrow 63-62 win over TAMUK last season.
