EDMONTON, Alberta – Former Texas A&M-Kingsville wide receiver Aaron Dilworth has signed a contract to play for the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League.
The Elks officially announced the signing on Wednesday, making Dilworth the first Javelina to ink a deal with a CFL team since Myles Carr joined the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2017.
Dilworth was a member of the Javelina football program from 2015-19 and during that time, he racked up 73 receptions for 867 yards and 10 touchdowns. The Corpus Christi native had has best year in 2018, when he scored a team-best seven touchdowns and hauled in 42 passes for 540 yards.
Over the last two years, Dilworth has been plying his trade on the arena football circuit, playing for the West Texas Warbirds in 2021, where he amassed 41 catches for 745 yards and 15 touchdowns. In 2022, while with the Sioux Falls Storm, he finished fifth in the Indoor Football League in yards per game, finishing with 39 grabs for 509 yards and eight scores.
