RICHARDSON, Texas – On Tuesday, the Lone Star Conference released the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll for this past Spring semester, and 122 members of the Texas A&M-Kingsville athletic programs made the list, with 39 Javelinas finishing with a perfect 4.0 GPA during the semester.
Women's track and field set the bar with 11 members posting a perfect GPA, with the second most coming from volleyball & beach volleyball which had six, and football which had five.
From the Javelina Athletics programs, the men's and women's track & field team, under coach Ryan Dall had the most student-athletes making the list, leading the way with 25. Football, led by coach Michael Salinas, posted the second most with 21, followed by the volleyball and beach volleyball programs under coach Tanya Allen-Gonzalez with 19 rounding out the top three.
The total number of student-athletes making the list for this past semester was 2214, with West Texas A&M leading the way with 189 Buffaloes making the honor roll.
The Commissioner's Honor Roll is announced at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters with student-athletes qualifying based on grade point average for the current semester. To be eligible for the honor roll, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.30 GPA for the current semester and be on the roster.
