The annual conference tournament will be held in Canyon, Texas, on Nov. 10-11-12

RICHARDSON, Texas — Following the conclusion of the regular season, the Lone Star Conference has revealed the eight teams that will receive an invitation to the league's annual postseason tournament, with the Texas A&M-Kingsville volleyball team seeded fifth.

After logging its first 20-win season since 2017, the Javelinas are headed to Canyon, Texas, for the 2022 Lone Star Conference Volleyball Championship, with festivities slated to begin on Thursday, Nov. 10. West Texas A&M will play host inviting seven of the league's top squads into The Box, after receiving the top seed thanks to a perfect 16-0 mark in conference play.

The tournament is single-elimination, with four first-round matchups scheduled for Thursday and two semifinal contests Friday, ahead of the championship match Saturday. The Javelinas will matchup against No. 4 seed UT Tyler in the first round, with the contest scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at The Box. The squad that claims the tournament title will receive the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Division II Volleyball Championship.
