KINGSVILLE, Texas – The Texas A&M-Kingsville volleyball team is set to host a Lone Star Conference foe St. Edward's at the Steinke Physical Education Center at 6 p.m. on Wednesday night for Pack the House Night.
The Javelinas (13-8, LSC 5-3) return to action in the SPEC coming off a successful homecoming weekend where they swept Lubbock Christian and Eastern New Mexico in straight sets in each match, improving their unbeaten record on their home court.
TAMUK enters the mid-week contest still leading the LSC in digs per set at 18.01 and second in attacks per set with 39.06 and team assists with 960.
Senior Nicole Murff continues her leading ways in the conference in digs per set with a current mark of 5.42. Offensive force Ayanna Jackson also continues to lead the league in hitting percentage with .372 so far this season.
The Javs face St. Edward's (6-15, LSC 3-7) for the second time this season after defeating the Hilltoppers three sets to one on September 8th at the LSC Crossover Tournament.
In the win, Jackson led the Javelinas with 17 points from 15 kills and three blocks, while freshmen Madelyn Wallace and Meghan Stiefer joined Jackson with double-digit kills, logging 13 and 10, respectively.
St. Edward's enters the matchup coming off a tough past weekend, where the Hilltoppers dropped matches against Angelo State, 3-0 and UT Permian Basin 3-2.
The Hilltoppers are led by middle blocker Ajani Hodges who leads the conference in total blocks with 89 and is second in blocks per set with 1.19 this season.
