KINGSVILLE, Texas - Due to inclement weather affecting Northeast Texas, the Lone Star Conference matchup between the Texas A&M-Kingsville men's and women's basketball programs and A&M-Commerce has been canceled.
No future plans to reschedule all four games have been announced at this time.
The Javelina men's program improved their rankings this week in the NABC poll to the 13th slot following a hard-fought weekend sweep of then-No. 25 St. Edward's in a home-and-home matchup that matched the team's best start in program history to 13-1 overall. The Javelina women's program dropped both of its contests to the Hilltoppers to move to 6-8 on the year despite closing the second-half deficit to single digits in either game.
Following the cancellation, the Javelina men return to the floor for the final week of the season against UT Tyler on February 24 at the Louise Herrington Patriot Center, before returning to the Steinke Physical Education Center on February 27.
The Javelina women have a game against Angelo State rescheduled for February 16 in San Angelo, Texas, at 5:30 p.m. ahead of the final divisional matchup of the season against the Patriots the following week.
