KINGSVILLE, Texas - With first pitch just around the corner the Lone Star Conference announced the 2021 Baseball Preseason poll on Wednesday, with Texas A&M-Kingsville slotted fourth on one first-place vote ahead of head coach

BASEBALL PRESEASON POLL
Angelo State was picked first in the poll with 23 first-place votes from head coaches, sports information directors and media representatives. UT Tyler was picked second after picking up six first-place votes, while West Texas A&M was chosen third with four first-place votes.
St. Mary's rounds out the top five, followed by UAFS, St. Edward's, Lubbock Christian, Oklahoma Christian, and UT Permian Basin closing out the top 10.
Cameron was picked 11th in the poll, with Texas A&M International and Eastern New Mexico coming up 12th and 13th, respectively.
The Javelinas open their season at the Houston Winter Invitational on January 29 against UAFS. The LSC schedule starts the next week on the road for the Blue and Gold with a three-game set against CU, while the first home series at Nolan Ryan Field against UTPB slated for February 12-14.
