RICHARDSON, Texas (TAMUK/LSC) – The Lone Star Conference announced the Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2020 fall semester on Thursday, with 153 members of the Texas A&M-Kingsville athletic programs making the list of 2,254 student-athletes.
The Javelinas had a total of 43 student-athletes compile a perfect 4.0 GPA during the semester, while A&M-Commerce led all LSC member institutions with 62 student-athletes finishing with a flawless GPA.

Tanya Allen had the most student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 for the semester with 10, followed by nine from the track and field and cross country teams under head coach

Mike Salinas at the helm, rounded out the top three with six student-athletes owning a 4.0.
UT Tyler had 176 student-athletes recognized for their academic achievements to lead all LSC institutions. UT Permian Basin was second with 172, followed by A&M-Commerce (170), Angelo State (162), and West Texas A&M (156) for the top-five.
Of the 153 Javelinas to make the cut, 37 currently compete on the track and field and cross country teams, followed by 29 from the football team and 19 from the baseball team. Another 17 each from softball and the beach volleyball and volleyball programs round out the top five for the 2020 fall semester.
The final count included 692 students with a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester. After A&M-Commerce, UTT had the second most with 59, while Angelo State was third (55), West Texas A&M fourth (53), and Lubbock Christian fifth (51).
Women's soccer claimed the top spot on the list of perfect marks with 84, followed by softball (80), volleyball (77), and women's basketball (69).
The Commissioner's Honor Roll is announced at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters with student-athletes qualifying based on grade point average for the current semester. To be eligible for the honor roll, student-athletes must have a minimum3.30 GPA for the current semester and be on the roster.
