KINGSVILLE, Texas - The Texas A&M-Kingsville athletic department is proud to announce the first installment of Life After Sports, a recurring series to provide life skills programming to Javelina student-athletes as they adjust to their post-playing careers once they graduate from the university.
This series will focus on several ranging topics as student-athletes pursue a wide variety of careers and professional development opportunities.
The first guest of Life After Sports is Lamont Hills. Hills played football for the Javelinas from 2011-15 as a defensive back where he appeared in 39 games as a four-year letter winner. He tallied 156 tackles, three interceptions, 17 passes defended, two fumble recoveries, and a blocked kick during his time in the Blue and Gold.
Following his playing career, Hills was accepted into the Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, La., and began practicing law in Louisiana once he graduated.
Hills will speak in a virtual session on Monday, October 19, at 6:30 p.m. To request an invite to the session, or to volunteer to speak at future sessions, please contact
